Archpastor celebrates Liturgy in Luchynchyk village of Mohyliv-Podilskyi Deanery

On July 13, 2023, on the feast day of the Synaxis of the Twelve Apostles, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Archangel Michael in the village of Luchynchyk, Mohyliv-Podilskyi district. The Archpastor was concelebrated by the rector of the church, Archpriest Oleksandr Kazmirov, and clergy from Vinnytsia.

During the Liturgy, prayers were offered for Ukraine and the victory of the Ukrainian army. After the Liturgy and prayer service, Metropolitan Symeon addressed the congregation with an archpastoral sermon.

Metropolitan Simeon also awarded a medal "For Sacrifice and Love for Ukraine" to local businessman Martin Hayrapetyan, who is the founder of the church in Luchynchyk. It was on his initiative and with his charitable donations that the Church of the Archangel Michael was built in 2018. Martin Hayrapetyan also actively supported the religious community of the church when it decided to leave the moscow patriarchate in 2022 and join the canonical autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Since Martin Hayrapetyan was unable to attend the church that day due to valid reasons, the award was presented to his son.

At the end of the celebration, the rector of the church, Archpriest Oleksandr Kazmirov, thanked Metropolitan Symeon on behalf of the parishioners for his archpastoral visit, prayers and blessings.
