On August 14, 2023, on the Feast of the Presentation of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord and the Day of the Holy Martyrs Maccabees, a festive service was held at the Transfiguration Cathedral of Vinnytsia. The Divine Liturgy was led by Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar, concelebrated by the cathedral priests. During the service, prayers were offered for the victory of the Ukrainian army.
Before the communion, the Archpastor preached a sermon.
At the end of the Liturgy, Metropolitan Symeon performed a prayer service with the blessing of water and read prayers for the consecration of herbs and honey. According to tradition, together with the clergy, the Archpastor sprinkled holy water on the faithful who came to the cathedral that day to pray and ask for God's blessing, and also blessed the honey, flowers and herbs they brought.
