On September 8, 2023, on the eve of the Day of the City of Vinnytsia, the mayor of Vinnytsia, together with representatives of local authorities and self-government, visited the Transfiguration Cathedral. At that time, a prayer for Vinnytsia and Vinnytsia residents was held in the church. With the blessing of Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar, Archpriest Vitaliy Goloskevich served a prayer service for the city. The priest congratulated the residents of Vinnytsia and the city's leaders on the upcoming holiday. The next day, when Vinnytsia will celebrate its 660th birthday, the Transfiguration Cathedral will hold a prayer service after the Divine Liturgy with prayers for Ukrainian families and for the city of Vinnytsia, its residents and local authorities. The service will be led by Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar.
