Metropolitan Symeon met with a chaplain who cares for the military at the front

On 19 October 2023, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar met with Archpriest Vitaly Trach, a clergyman of the Vinnytsia-Bar Diocese and military chaplain. The military unit in which Father Vitaliy serves is currently at the frontline. Having been given the opportunity to stay home for a few days, the chaplain came to his Bishop to receive spiritual support from him. Father Vitaliy told Metropolitan Symeon about the peculiarities of the chaplain's ministry in the frontline, about the spiritual needs of the soldiers and about the help he provides to his fellow soldiers. After a long conversation, Metropolitan Symeon conveyed his blessing and words of spiritual support to the commanders and soldiers of the military unit and assured them of the ongoing comprehensive assistance that the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the Diocese of Vinnytsia and Bar in particular provide and will continue to provide to the Armed Forces and all defenders of Ukraine. The Archpastor blessed the chaplain and wished him and all Ukrainian soldiers God's protection and help in achieving victory and a just peace for Ukraine.
