On October 20, 2023, the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius, arrived in Odesa region with an Archpastoral visit. This is reported by the official website of the OCU.
At the entrance to Odesa, the Primate of the local Ukrainian Orthodox Church was met by the head of the Odesa Diocese, Archbishop Athanasius of Odesa and Balta, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar, Secretary of the Odesa Diocese, Archpriest Theodore Orobets, and the clergy of the Diocese.
Archbishop Athanasius welcomed His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius to the Odesa region, presenting Him with a loaf of bread and flowers.
Metropolitan Epiphanius, at the invitation of the head of the Odesa National Opera, Nadiya Babich, visited the Odesa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater and blessed the workers of the artistic and cultural field, as well as got acquainted with the history of the theater.
