On October 26, 2023, the Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the Patronal Feast was completed in the Church of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica in the village of Kordelivka of the Kalynivka territorial community of the Khmilnyk district. The service was celebrated by Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar in concelebration with Archpriest George Donchak, Dean of the Khmilnyk district, Priest Yuriy Voloshchuk, Rector of the church, and the district clergy.
During the Liturgy, prayers were offered for Ukraine and the victory of the Ukrainian army.
After the Liturgy, a procession around the church was held, after which Metropolitan Symeon blessed the flags of Ukraine and the Vinnytsia-Barsk Diocese, which were solemnly raised near the entrance to the church to the singing of the spiritual anthem of Ukraine "God is Great".
At the end of the celebrations, a prayer was read to the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica in front of an icon with a part of his holy relics, which was brought to the festive service from Vinnytsia.
Metropolitan Symeon congratulated the Rector and the community and all those present on the Patronal Feast and delivered a sermon.
