Metropolitan Symeon consecrates new church in Bar

On November 8, 2023, on the feast of the Archangel Michael and the Other Bodiless Powers, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar, with the blessing and at the request of Archbishop Mykhailo of Vinnytsia and Tulchyn, consecrated a newly built church in honor of All Saints in the city of Bar, Zhmerynka district, Vinnytsia region. In the consecrated church, the Hierarch celebrated the Divine Liturgy in concelebration with the clergy of the Vinnytsia-Tulchyn and Vinnytsia-Bar dioceses.

His Eminence was concelebrated by Archpriest Igor Siranchuk, Secretary of the Vinnytsia-Tulchyn Diocese, Archdeacon Vladislav Demchenko, Secretary of the Vinnytsia-Bar Diocese, Archpriest Yaroslav Volvin, Dean of the Haisyn District, Archpriest Voldymyr Mygdal, Dean of the Teplyk District, Archpriest Vitaly Nazarovets, Rector of the newly consecrated church and Dean of the Bar District, and other priests.

During the Liturgy, prayers were offered for Ukraine and the victory of the Ukrainian army. Prayer requests were also offered for Archbishop Mykhailo of Vinnytsia and Tulchyn, Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarch in Ukraine Bishop Mykhailo of Comana, Metropolitan Hilarion of Rivne and Ostroh, as well as priests and laity who celebrated their Name Day.

After the Liturgy, a procession around the church was held and a prayer service to St. Michael the Archangel was held.

Metropolitan Symeon delivered a sermon to the clergy and faithful. At the end of the celebrations, the Archpastor congratulated the Rector of the church, Archpriest Vitaliy Nazarovets, and the parishioners on the consecration of the church and, on behalf of Archbishop Mykhailo of Vinnytsia and Tulchyn, presented blessed Diplomas to the founders, builders and benefactors of the Church of All Saints of the Ukrainian Land in Bar.
