On December 12, 2023, on the Feast Day of St. Spyridon of Trymythus, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Transfiguration Cathedral of Vinnytsia, led by Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar. His Eminence was concelebrated by Archimandrite Sofroniy (Chupryna), Archpriest John Drozd, Archpriest Dimitriy Pylyn, Archdeacon Vladislav Demchenko and Archdeacon Serhiy Boyarsky.
During the service, prayers were offered for Ukraine's victory over the Russian invaders.
After the prayer service, Metropolitan Symeon delivered a sermon in which he briefly recalled the life of St. Spyridon. During the service, the faithful had the opportunity to prayerfully venerate an icon with a part of the saint's relics.
