On December 26, 2023, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar visited the Stryzhava Children's Home, where children with mental and developmental disabilities live and study. The Metropolitan was accompanied by representatives of the clergy and Abbess Yelikonida (Voyevoda), the abbess of the Vinnytsia Women's Annunciation Monastery. The Head of the Stryzhavka territorial community, Mykhailo Demchenko, also visited the institution.
Metropolitan Symeon congratulated the residents and staff of the Home on Christmas and gave them sweet gifts. The priests sang carols for the children, and the Metropolitan spoke about the holiday and its traditions. At the end of the visit, Metropolitan Symeon spoke with the director of the institution, Vasyl Lytsky, about the assistance provided by the Vinnytsia-Bar Diocese and further cooperation.
