On the memorial Saturday of the second week of Great Lent, March 30, 2024, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Transfiguration Cathedral of Vinnytsia. The Archpastor was concelebrated by the cathedral clergy. During the service, funeral prayers were offered for the deceased archpastors and pastors, Ukrainian soldiers and civilians killed in the russian-Ukrainian war, and all deceased Orthodox Christians.
After the Liturgy, Metropolitan Symeon and the priests held a memorial service (Panakhyda). At the end of the service, His Eminence delivered a sermon called on the parishioners to pray for their deceased relatives and friends, as well as to offer fervent prayers for the defenders of Ukraine and civilians who died in the war with the russian occupiers.
