All-Night Vigil on the occasion of the Feast of the Council of Vinnytsia Saints and the Name Day of Metropolitan Symeon

On August 31, 2024, on the eve of the 10th Sunday after Pentecost, the feast of the Council of Vinnytsia Saints, the Church New Year, and the memory of St. Symeon the Pillar, a solemn All-Night Vigil was held at the Transfiguration Cathedral of Vinnytsia. The litia was led by Bishop Paisius of Zhytomyr and Ovruch.

The festive polyeleos was led by Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar. His Eminence was concelebrated by Archbishop Herman of Kamianets-Podilskyi and Novoushytskyi, Archbishop Tikhon of Ternopil and Buchach, Bishop Paisiy of Zhytomyr and Ovruch, Bishop Theognost of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna, clergy of the Vinnytsia-Bar Diocese and guests in the holy orders.

After the polyeleos with the singing of hymns before the icons of the Council of Vinnytsia Saints and St. Symeon, the Archpastor congratulated the priests and faithful on the upcoming holiday and anointed the faithful with holy oil.
