On July 30, 2023, on the 8th Sunday after Pentecost and the day of remembrance of the holy Fathers of the six Ecumenical Councils, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar, together with the clergy, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Transfiguration Cathedral in Vinnytsia.
During the service, prayer requests were offered for the Ukrainian army and the Victory of Ukraine.
Before the parishioners came to the Holy Communion, the clergyman of the cathedral, Archpriest John Drozd, read the Address of the Local Council of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine to the Ukrainian people.
At the end of the service, Metropolitan Simeon addressed the faithful with an archpastoral sermon.
On this day, two Divine Liturgies were celebrated, one very early in the morning, and a second one later on.
