On November 2, 2024, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar consecrated the renovated Altar desk of the Church of the Holy Great Martyr Paraskeva in the village of Glukhivtsi, Koziatyn Deanery.
After the rite of consecration, the Metropolitan celebrated the Divine Liturgy. His Eminence was concelebrated by the Dean of the Deanery of Koziatyn, the Rector of the church, Archpriest Valery Kushnir, and priests of the Vinnytsia-Bar, Vinnytsia-Tulchyn, and Ternopil-Buchak dioceses.
During the service, prayers were offered for Ukraine's victory. Metropolitan Symeon read a prayer for the liberation of Ukraine from the invaders.
After the service, Metropolitan Symeon preached a sermon and congratulated the Rector and parishioners on the consecration of the Altar desk. The Archpastor noted the efforts made by the religious community to leave the Moscow Patriarchate and join the canonical local Orthodox Church of Ukraine and wished the congregation to continue to be faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ and patriots of their earthly Motherland.
With the blessing of the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epifaniy, Metropolitan Symeon presented awards to those who made special efforts to restore the church, from which supporters of the Moscow Patriarchate had taken everything valuable and necessary for worship.
Among the awardees that day were entrepreneurs Olena and Mark Kyryliuk and the head of the Glukhivtsi territorial community, Oleksandr Amons. The religious community of the church was also awarded a blessed certificate from the Primate of the OCU. The Archangel Michael Medal was awarded to the Rector of the church, Archpriest Valery Kushnir, Dean of the Deanery of Koziatyn.
After the service and the awarding of the benefactors, a local folklore group performed a number of spiritual cantos, folk and patriotic songs on the territory of the church.
