On September 14, 2023, at the invitation of Bishop Varsonofy of Uzhhorod and Zakarpattia, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar visited the Church of St. Amphilochius of Pochayiv in Uzhhorod.
On the occasion of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, Metropolitan Symeon and Bishop Varsonofiy celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the church. The hierarchs were concelebrated by local priests.
During the service, a prayer was offered for the victory of the Ukrainian army over the russian aggressor.
After the Liturgy, Metropolitan Symeon preached a sermon in which he revealed the spiritual meaning of the holiday. The Archpastor also thanked Bishop Varsonofy for the joint prayer.
