On June 24, 2024, on the Day of the Holy Spirit and the feast of the Nativity of John the Baptist, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar, with the blessing of Archbishop Yakiv of Drohobych and Sambir and at the invitation of Archimandrite Nikon, Rector of the monastery church of the Nativity of John the Baptist in Drohobych, celebrated the Divine Liturgy. The service was held on the occasion of the anniversary of the church's consecration.
Metropolitan Symeon was concelebrated by Archbishop Matfey of Volodymyr and Novovolynsk, Archbishop Julian of Kolomyia and Kosiv, Bishop Kirill of Uzhhorod and Khust, the Rector of the church, Archimandrite Nikon, and local clergy. During the service, prayers were offered for the soldiers who are defending Ukraine.
After the service, Metropolitan Symeon congratulated the hierarchs, Father Nikon and all those present on the holiday and the anniversary of the consecration of the church, and thanked them for their joint prayer.
