Hierarchical Liturgy on the Feast of the Circumcision of the Lord in the Cathedral

On January 1, 2024, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar, on the Feast of the Circumcision of the Lord and the day of commemoration of St. Basil the Great, Archbishop of Caesarea and St. Amphilochius of Pochayiv, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Transfiguration Cathedral of Vinnytsia. The Archpastor was concelebrated by the clergy of the Cathedral.

During the service, special requests and prayers were offered for Ukrainian soldiers and Ukraine's victory over the russian aggressor.

During the service, Metropolitan Symeon ordained Stepan Kovalchuk as a deacon.

After the Liturgy, the Archpastor and the priests of the cathedral held a prayer service for the New Year. During the prayer service, prayers of thanksgiving were read for the past year and requests were made to the Lord to bless the coming year. Special prayers were offered for Ukraine's victory, the Ukrainian army, and blessings for the Ukrainian people.

Metropolitan Simeon preached a sermon and congratulated everyone on the Feast of the Circumcision of the Lord and the New Year, wishing Victory, just peace and God's help to all those who prayed during the service and to the entire people of Ukraine in 2024.
