On October 12, 2024, on the day of the veneration of the Jerusalem Icon of the Mother of God, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Monk Makarios, Archimandrite of Ovruch, of the Vinnytsia Annunciation Convent. During the service, prayers were offered for Ukraine's victory over the Russian aggressor.
After the Liturgy and the prayer service before the venerated copy of the Jerusalem Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is permanently located in the monastery, Metropolitan Simeon preached a sermon and congratulated the abbess of the monastery, Mother Elikonida (Voevoda), the sisters and all those present on the holiday.
