On July 17, 2023, a regular meeting of the Synodal Commission for the Canonization of Saints was held by video conference. On behalf of the Chairman of the Commission, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar, the meeting was chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the Commission, Metropolitan Hilarion of Rivne and Ostroh. The meeting was attended by the secretary of the Commission, Archpriest Vitaliy Holoskevych, and a member of the Commission, Archdeacon Vladyslav Demchenko. The Commission discussed a number of issues. The decisions will be reported to the Primate of the OCU and the Holy Synod. Following the consideration of certain issues, the Commission will send its comments and recommendations to the dioceses of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
