On April 3, 2024, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar blessed 750 Easter cakes that will be delivered to the military in the Zaporizhzhia direction and also transferred to military hospitals in Vinnytsia region, where wounded defenders are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation. Volunteers will deliver the Easter cakes to the east along with other necessary items, and chaplains of the Vinnytsia-Bar Diocese will deliver them to the medical institutions. The delivery of Easter cakes with a prayer for the soldiers and a blessing has become a tradition that parishioners and benefactors are constantly joining. This year, together with the Orthodox Church of Ukraine in Vinnytsia region, the Grosch hypermarket chain joined the good cause. May small holiday gifts warm the hearts of our defenders with love and remind them of their home, where they are waiting for them with victory. And may the Risen Lord Jesus Christ strengthen the Ukrainian soldiers and strengthen their faith in the victory of Truth and Goodness!
