On July 9, 2023, on the 5th Sunday after Pentecost, with the blessing of Archbishop Yakov of Drohobych and Sambir, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the monastery church of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist in Drohobych. The Metropolitan was concelebrated by the rector of the church, Archimandrite Nikon, and the local clergy. During the Liturgy, a prayer was offered for Ukrainian soldiers and the Victory of Ukraine.
After the service, the Archpastor addressed the parishioners with a sermon and thanked the rector, clergy and faithful for their joint prayer.
