Metropolitan Symeon leads All-Night vigil at St. Catherine's Cathedral in Chernihiv

On November 23, 2023, on the eve of the feast day of the Holy Great Martyr Catherine and St. Mercury of Chernihiv, Abbot of Bryhyny, at the invitation of Bishop Anthony of Chernihiv and Nizhyn, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar visited the Cathedral of the Great Martyr Catherine in Chernihiv and led an all-night vigil.

Bishop Paisius of Zhytomyr and Ovruch, Bishop Pavlo of Khmelnytsky and Kamianets-Podilsky, Bishop Anthony of Chernihiv and Nizhyn, and local clergy concelebrated with the hierarch. Bishop Pavlo celebrated the litany. After the polyeleos, Metropolitan Symeon anointed the parishioners with holy oil.

The relics of St. Mercurius of Chernihiv are permanently kept in the cathedral.
