Metropolitan Symeon took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the Name Day of the Ruling Bishop of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese

On March 14, 2024, on the day of memory of St. Theognostos, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Rus, at the invitation of Bishop Theognostos of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the Name Day of the ruling Bishop of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Diocese. Metropolitan Symeon led the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of St. Paraskeva of Serbia in Chernivtsi. His Eminence was concelebrated by Archbishop Agapit of Vyshhorod, Bishop Theognost of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna, local clergy and guests in the holy orders.

During the service, prayers were offered for Ukraine's victory over the russian invaders. Special prayer requests were offered for Bishop Theognostus, who celebrated his Name Day for the first time in the ancient Chernivtsi Diocese, to which he was recently appointed.

After the Liturgy and prayer service, Metropolitan Symeon read out a congratulatory address to Bishop Theognost from the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kyiv and All Ukraine. Metropolitan Symeon also congratulated the Archpastor of Chernivtsi on his own behalf and wished Bishop Theognostos God's grace and help in his archpastoral work.
