On January 18, 2024, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar visited the State Educational Institution "Center for Vocational Education No. 1 in Vinnytsia" at the invitation of the management. The Hierarch congratulated the teachers and students who gathered to study after the winter holidays on Christmas and Epiphany. Metropolitan Symeon held a prayer service asking for God's blessing and help for those "who teach and learn." The Metropolitan also said a prayer for the repose of the graduates who gave their lives defending Ukraine from the russian aggressor.
After the prayer, Metropolitan Symeon traditionally sprinkled holy water on classrooms, administrative and utility rooms, as well as dormitories, where, in addition to students, residents of destroyed and captured cities and villages of Ukraine, who were left homeless by the occupiers, find shelter. His Eminence was assisted by Archpriest Dymytriy Pylyn, a clergyman of the Transfiguration Cathedral in Vinnytsia.
At the end of the visit, the Director of the institution, Valeriy Dyakiv, told the guests about the success of his staff and students in their studies and work and their participation in providing assistance to the temporarily displaced people and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
