On July 29, 2023, Archpriest Anatoly Kuznetsov, a priest of the UOC (in unity with the moscow patriarchate), appealed to Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar with a request to be accepted into the clergy of the Vinnytsia-Bar Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. The priest also conveyed to the Metropolitan a request to join the autocephalous Orthodox Church of Ukraine from his parishioners from the villages of Mykhailivka and Zhabelivka in Vinnytsia district.
After talking with the priest, Metropolitan Symeon gave Fr. Anatoliy a Decree on his admission to the clergy of the Vinnytsia Bar Diocese of the OCU, along with the parishes of the Saint Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian in Mykhailivka and the Icon of the Mother of God "Kazanska" in Zhabelivka, Vinnytsia district, Vinnytsia region.
The Archpastor conveyed his blessing through Archpriest Anatoliy to the parishioners who, together with their rector, made a wise and correct decision to join the canonical local Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
