With the blessing of Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar, on the eve of the Day of the Medical Worker, Archimandrite Sofronii (Chupryna), Abbot of the Holy Ascension Monastery in Vinnytsia, visited medical institutions in Vinnytsia where employees and officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are treated. In one of the institutions, the priest performed a prayer service in the prayer room and congratulated the management and medical staff on their professional holiday. Father Sofroniy also visited the hospital patients in their wards, answered their questions, anointed them with holy oil and presented them with icons of the Mother of God and the Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon as a blessing and with a wish for a quick recovery. In another institution, Father Archimandrite also said a prayer for the doctors and congratulated them on their holiday, which is celebrated for the first time this year on the day of St. Panteleimon's memory.
