On May 8, 2024, on the Wednesday of the Holy Week and the day of remembrance of the Holy Apostle John the Theologian, a solemn Liturgy was celebrated at the Transfiguration Cathedral in Vinnytsia.
The service was led by Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar, and concelebrated by clergy from all the deaneries of the Vinnytsia-Bar Diocese.
During the service, the Metropolitan, priests and faithful prayed for Ukraine's victory over the russian invaders. After the procession around the Cathedral, Metropolitan Symeon congratulated the priests on Easter.
On behalf of the clergy, Archimandrite Dorotheus (Markevych), Dean of the Vinnytsia District Deanery, congratulated the Archpastor and presented him with a bouquet of flowers.
Also on this day, a commemoration of all those who died in World War II was held.
