Sunday Divine Liturgy and priestly ordination in the Cathedral of Vinnytsia

On January 7, 2024, on the 31st Sunday after Pentecost, after the Epiphany and on the Feast of the Council of John the Baptist, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar celebrated the late Divine Liturgy at the Transfiguration Cathedral in Vinnytsia. His Eminence was concelebrated by Archpriest Vitaliy Holoskevych, Archpriest Dymytriy Pylyn, Archdeacon Vladyslav Demchenko and Deacon Stepan Kovalchuk.

During the service, a prayer was offered for Ukraine and the victory of the Ukrainian army over the russian aggressor.

Also during the Liturgy, a priestly ordination was performed. Metropolitan Symeon ordained a clergyman of the Diocese, Deacon Stepan Kovalchuk, to the rank of priest.

At the end of the service, a glorification of the holy Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord John was sung, after which the Archpastor delivered a sermon to the clergy and parishioners.

On this day, the early and late ("hierarchical") Divine Liturgies were celebrated in the Cathedral.
