In Vinnytsia, a priest took part in an event in support of the Ukrainian military, prisoners of war and their families

On July 27, an event was held in Vinnytsia, on European Square, in support of the soldiers, missing persons, prisoners of war, medical personnel and their families. The event was organized by the Coordination Center for the Treatment of Prisoners of War with the support of the Interregional Humanitarian Coordination Center.

The event began with a minute of silence for the heroes who died a year ago as a result of the terrorist attack in Olenivka. Also, released defenders who had been in captivity made introductory speeches. In particular, Yulia Payevska "Tyra", Ivan Demkiv, Roman Gorodensky, Mariana Mamonova and others.

The event was attended by families of the defenders, representatives of charitable foundations, religious organizations, volunteers and public activists. The event was also attended by Mayor Serhiy Morgunov and the head of the regional council, Vyacheslav Sokolovy.

A number of activities were organized to support the families of the defenders, including their children. In particular, visitors could taste field kitchen dishes and take part in four practical trainings: first aid, weapons handling, mine safety and stress relief.

At the end of the event, Archpriest Vitaliy Holoskevych, a priest of the Vinnytsia Transfiguration Cathedral of the OCU, addressed the audience. In a heartfelt and sincere address, the clergyman expressed support for the families of prisoners and missing persons and prayed for those who are in captivity, as well as those who went missing during the war and whose families and friends hope for their return. During the priest's speech, many people could not hold back tears. When the words of prayer were spoken, people lit candles. The prayer included requests to God for military medics, volunteers and all the defenders of Ukraine.

In conclusion, Father Vitaliy expressed confidence that with God's help it will be possible to return all those who are in captivity and wished God's help to the Ukrainian army to drive the enemy from the Ukrainian land as soon as possible and achieve victory and a just peace for Ukraine.

At the end of the event, the participants unfurled a large flag of Ukraine.
