Metropolitan Symeon concelebrated with the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine during the Divine Liturgy at the Manyava Monastery

On June 25, 2023, on the third Sunday after Pentecost and on the day of celebration of the of the Manyava Icon of the Mother of God "Deliverer," His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kyiv and All Ukraine led the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Cross Exaltation Manyava Monastery in the Carpathian region. This is reported by the official website of the OCU. This Athos icon has been in the monastery for 20 years and is famous for its miracles.

Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar concelebrated with His Beatitude along with other hierarchs of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, the abbot of the monastery Igumen Joasaph (Stasiuk), and numerous clergy.

Svitlana Onyshchuk, head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, other representatives of local authorities, and a large number of believers and pilgrims from different parts of Ukraine also prayed at the service.

After reading the Gospel, Metropolitan Epiphanius delivered the sermon and offered a special prayer to the Lord at a time when the Motherland is in danger.

Also during the service, prayer requests were made for the soldiers who are defending Ukraine, for the government and our people, and for the repose of the souls of all the fallen defenders of the Motherland and civilians.

During the Divine Liturgy, hundreds of believers communed of Christ’s Holy Mysteries.

At the end of the service, a Service of Prayer was held to the Most Holy Theotokos before Her miraculous icon "Deliverer". The Primate of the OCU also presented the mother of the defender of Ukraine, who is now at the front, with her son's church award.
