On September 24, 2023, on the 16th Sunday after Pentecost, at the invitation of Archbishop Tikhon of Ternopil and Buchach, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Ascension in Zalishchyky, Ternopil region. Metropolitan Roman of Vinnytsia and Bratslav, Metropolitan Hilarion of Rivne and Ostroh, Archbishop Lavrentiy of Luhansk and Starobilsk, Archbishop Matthiy of Volodymyr and Novovolynsk, Archbishop Tikhon of Ternopil and Buchach, Bishop Paisiy of Zhytomyr and Ovruch, Archpriest Vasyl Khrebtak, rector of the church, and invited clergy concelebrated with the Metropolitan.
During the service, a prayer was offered for the Ukrainian army and the Victory of Ukraine.
The faithful had the opportunity to pray before the Ternopil Icon of the Mother of God "Hodegetria", which arrived at the church the day before, before the start of the evening service.
After the Liturgy and the procession, a prayer service was held before the Miraculous Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Metropolitan Symeon thanked Bishop Tikhon for the invitation and congratulated Father Vasyl and the parishioners on the 10th anniversary of the church's consecration.
Finally, the benefactors of the parish were awarded with church honors.
