On September 9, 2024, on the feast day of Saints Joachim and Anna and St. Theodosius, Archbishop of Chernihiv, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Transfiguration Cathedral in Vinnytsia. The Archpastor was concelebrated by the clergy of the Cathedral. During the service, a prayer was offered for the victory of Ukraine.
According to the decision of the Holy Synod of the OCU, September 9 is the Day of Prayer for the Family. Therefore, after the Liturgy, Metropolitan Symeon, in concelebration with the clergy, held a prayer service for Ukrainian families.
After the prayer, the Archpastor addressed the parishioners with a sermon in which he emphasized the importance of observing Christian virtues in family life and raising children.
