As recently reported, Archpriest Anatoliy Kuznetsov, a former cleric of the UOC (in unity with the moscow patriarchate), joined the Vinnytsia-Bar Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Together with the priest, two parishes he led joined the large family of the canonical local Church, including the parish of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian in Mykhailivka village and of the Icon of the Mother of God "Kazan" in Zhabelivka village, Vinnytsia district, Vinnytsia region.
As it became known, the third parish, where Fr. Anatoly was the Rector, also supported the decision of their pastor. The petition of the members of the religious community of the Church of the Protection of the Holy Virgin in Oleksandrivka village, Vinnytsia district, Vinnytsia region, certified by signatures, was handed over to Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar. On August 9, 2023, the Archpastor issued a decree according to which the mentioned parish was accepted into the Vinnytsia-Bar Diocese of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
