Metropolitan Symeon congratulates the Diocesan Bishop of Volodymyr-Volyn Diocese on his anniversary

On 6 September 2023, on the feast of the Miracle of the Archangel Michael in Chonos, at the invitation of Archbishop Matthew of Volodymyr and Novovolynsk, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar led a festive Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in Volodymyr.

His Eminence was concelebrated by the Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarch in Ukraine, Bishop Michael of Comana, Metropolitan Dymytrii of Lviv and Sokal, Metropolitan Oleksandr of Pereiaslav and Vyshneve, Metropolitan Hilarion of Rivne and Ostroh, Archbishop Matthias of Volodymyr and Novovolynsk, Archbishop Herman of Chernivtsi and Khotyn, Archbishop Tikhon of Ternopil and Buchach, Archbishop Agapit of Vyshgorod, Bishop Paisiy of Zhytomyr and Ovruch, Bishop Pavlo of Khmelnytsky and Kamyanets-Podilsky, Bishop Anthony of Chernihiv and Nizhyn, as well as local and invited clergy.

During the liturgy, prayers were offered for Ukraine's victory over the russian aggressor, as well as special requests for the jubilee of the Archbishop Matvey, who celebrated his 50th birthday that day.

After the service, Metropolitan Symeon congratulated Archbishop Matthew on his birthday. The Metropolitan wished the celebrant strength and God's help in his archpastoral labours, and that the Lord would grant him the fullness of earthly and heavenly blessings.
