Metropolitan Symeon took part in the Consecration of the church and the Divine Liturgy in Lviv region

On Tuesday, August 9, 2022, during an archpastoral visit to Lviv region, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine consecrated Holy Transfiguration church in Solonka village. This was reported by the official website of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

After the Consecration Ceremony, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphaniy presided at the Divine Liturgy in conjunction with the hierarchs: Metropolitan Makariy of Lviv, Metropolitan Symeon of Vinnytsia and Bar, Metropolitan Dymytriy of Lviv and Sokal, Archbishop Hilarion of Rivne and Ostroh, Archbishop Symeon of Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih, Archbishop Tykhon of Ternopil and Buchach, Bishop Matthew of Volodymyr and Turia, Bishop Boris of Kherson and Kakhovka. The rector of the church, Archpriest Vasyl Fedko, and numerous invited clergy took part in the Liturgy.

After reading the Gospel, Metropolitan Epiphaniy delivered the sermon. His Beatitude also offered a special prayer for the liberation of Ukraine from the invasion of enemies.

During the Liturgy, there were also the prayers for the soldiers who defend Ukraine, for the government and our people, and for the peace of the souls of all fallen defenders of Ukraine and civilians.

At the end of the solemn Divine Liturgy, His Beatitude congratulated the rector and all the community on the significant event and presented archpriest Vasyl Fedko with the name cross of the Primate and honored him with the Order of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Volodymyr 1st degree.
