Prayer for Ukraine on the second anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion into Ukraine

February 24, 2022 is a date that has forever changed the life of Ukraine and every citizen. On that day, at 3:40 a.m., Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began in the Luhansk region, in the Milove area. At 5:00 a.m., the invaders were already attacking everywhere.

Today is the second anniversary of the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Our defenders are doing their best every day to throw the enemy out of our land and bring the Victory closer.

The Orthodox Church of Ukraine, through the mouth of our Primate, His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kyiv and All Ukraine, and with him all the bishops, priests, deacons, monks, nuns and believers, daily offers prayers for our Warriors who have defended and are defending Ukraine and for all those who are making efforts to bring about the Victory. With gratitude for their heroism, the Church remembers the fallen Heroes who gave their lives for the Motherland and prays for the peace of civilians - men, women, and children whose lives were taken by the occupiers.

This prayer takes place every day - in churches and in front of home icons. And today, on the anniversary of the beginning of the invasion, the prayer for Ukraine is heard with a special force. We believe that God hears it, we pray because prayer gives us inspiration, and we will win because the truth is with us, and where the truth is, God is there. And if God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:32).

We believe!

Let us pray!

We will be victorious!
